We won Excellence in Sustainability at the Thames Valley Chamber Awards

This one really is for every client who chose reuse over the bin.

We're thrilled to share that Terraguard Technologies has been named winner of the Excellence in Sustainability Award at the 2026 Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

The ceremony was held at Easthampstead Park Hotel in Wokingham, where businesses from right across the Thames Valley came together for a three-course meal, live entertainment and the reveal of winners across all 13 categories.

Spirits were high, the room was buzzing, and we're still a little giddy that we walked away with a trophy.

Why this sustainability award matters to us

Every year, organisations retire mountains of computers, laptops, servers and phones. Too often that kit is treated as waste, even when much of it has years of working life left in it.

E-waste is now the fastest-growing waste stream in the world. And here's the part that gets overlooked: all the manufacturing emissions locked into a device are lost the moment it's scrapped instead of reused.

That's the problem we exist to solve.

Our reuse-first approach, in plain terms

Rather than defaulting to destruction, we focus on extending the reasonable life of business IT and championing the sustainable reuse of electronic devices. Every collection is processed with full data sanitisation, so reuse never comes at the cost of security. Our clients get the confidence to keep equipment in circulation, rather than sending it to landfill.

The results speak for themselves

By putting unwanted IT back into use, we've reduced CO2 emissions by over 735 metric tonnes so far this year.

To put that in perspective: you'd have to drive a petrol car 1.88 million miles to generate that much CO2. That's roughly 75 trips around the world.

And alongside the environmental win, our corporate partners get genuine, reportable improvements to their CSR and ESG metrics. End-of-life IT stops being a disposal cost and becomes a sustainability story they can actually tell.
